Daniel has worked for ByDesign for 11 years. He has experience in almost every area of the application. Being a software engineer, solutions director, and 1s and 0s kind of guy, you may be surprised to hear about his hobbies. Daniel favors nature and the outdoors and spends much of his time in parks and the wilderness. Daniel is an avid fisherman, coffee roaster, lifelong birdwatcher, and table tennis addict.
Daniel goes fishing almost every weekend and takes multiple vacations a year in local campgrounds and cabins with water access. He enjoys catching fish on site, using bait he catches on site (with a dip or cast net), cleaning the fish, and having a fish dinner as a highlight of his camping trips. Daniel fishes year round, targeting different species and location as the seasons dictate. Just this last year, we had a company fish fry where Daniel caught enough fish to feed the entire office.
Daniel also loves birdwatching during weekends or camping trips, keeping track of the various species he encounters. He has hundreds of photographs of different species and keeps track of his sightings using a popular site called ebird. Daniel has had experience during many ByDesign work trips scouting out various species in France, Spain, Switzerland, England, Costa Rica, Mexico, and across the US.
Over the past few years, Daniel has become passionate about coffee. He has learned to roast his beans for the freshest taste, as well as to make lattes and practicing various forms of latte art.
