Customer Referral Program

Are you looking to award customers for referring new customers? 

The Promotions Engine has been enhanced to support evaluating how many customers have been referred by an individual by creating a new promotion condition called Customer Referred Count. The promotion conditions are used for the qualifications of the promotions.

Example:  Customers can earn a free product for referring three new customers within the past month.

The base set up of this new promotion condition allows you to set the minimum number of referred customers within a date range to earn the promotion.  This condition can be used with existing promotion actions to award rewards to the customers.

Promotion conditions are client configured under Administration > Bonus > Promotions > Promotion Conditions.

Enhanced Setup:

For additional flexibility, the Limit Earning Twice by Attribute field allows you to configure and limit the customer from being evaluated for this promotion more than once.

If an attribute is selected, this attribute will be set on a customer automatically whenever they are used to award a promotion. The attribute would be set to the date the promotion is awarded. Any customers with the attribute set would not be considered in future promotion evaluations.

Attributes are configurable fields for the dynamic bonus engine and are created by the ByDesign commission analysts team.

Important items to note:

  • The Promotions Engine is needed for this configuration.
  • This feature applies only to Customers referring Customers, and does not support Reps referring Customers.
  • The new promotion condition, Customer Referred Count, is client configured.
  • If you’d like to leverage the Enhanced Setup to award only once, a new attribute will need to be configured by the Commissions team.
