Mastercard announced awhile back that effective October 2016, they would be issuing credit cards starting with a “2”. Since then, they’ve sent out numerous emails and warnings for merchant, processor and software partners to get on board or be fined. You may have also received such a notice.
Rest assured, Freedom is prepared and ready for the 2 series BIN numbers. Programming was completed in August 2016 readying us for this change. So if you get a notice, be confident that ByDesign’s portion is 100% done, tested and ready for action.
